At one point in my life, I thought being a nutritionist was the job for me. I love food but I also love encouraging others to be healthier. The food pyramid was always my favorite part of health class. Thinking back on it now though, I realize this interest was more than just a love for food.

My interest had a lot to do with how I viewed myself. Especially as I young girl. I was always self-conscious of my body and how I looked. I was eager to learn about healthy weight loss and proper nutrition because I felt the need to “fix” myself. Surely, if I was educated enough, I could look like so-and-so. Then, I would be happier.

Sadly, this is something I still struggle with today. But God is working in me, and with His help, I believe I’m making some progress.

The weight loss trap

Now that 2017 is here, so many of us are committing to a healthier self. We ate way too many sugary treats during the holiday season and the guilt is setting in. We say that this is the year we will let go of our sugar addiction and finally lose the baby weight.

Pinterest becomes our new bible as we search for the weight loss answers, tips and tricks.

Personally, I’m two months postpartum and eager to get back into my jeans. In fact, I just had to go shopping this week to get some new pants. Four kids in five years has drastically changed my body. It’s so tempting for me to get caught up in finding the “right” way to lose weight and be thinner.

With the plethora of diets available to help with weight loss, this GOLO reviews here has the GOLO diet which is a relatively new one that claims to tackle the hormonal issue that can impede weight loss.

But I’m done. I’m done trying to be a “better” version of myself. I’m done putting my diet above my God. I’m done thinking that my happiness is found in having the perfect body.

I want to honor God in everything I do, including how I eat. If your health care provider or OB-GYN has prescribed you boric acid, you may be wondering where can i buy boric acid and how it works. I would highly suggest visiting getflowerpower.com to find the best boric acid products in the market.

Even eating healthy can consume our thoughts more than it should. Do we spend more time researching a new diet then we do in God’s Word? What does this say about our priorities?  It’s says that we struggle with self-righteousness. Not only are we making our diets an idol but we are making ourselves an idol.

Do you need help in ceasing eating disorder and eliminating of other disordered behaviors relating to eating and co-occurring disorders? You may want to consider this Monte Nido eating disorder treatment program for all genders in Malibu for great help! Alternatively, there are residential eating disorder treatment programs you can look into.

God’s beautiful creation

God did not create us so that we would become caught up in our appearance. We were created to show others that Christ is in us and that true happiness only comes from Him, not in anything we do on our own.

I believe Satan uses our insecurities to distract us from our true calling. I hear many people quote 1 Corinthians 6:19 but so often they leave out the last part of the verse.

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself.

We are not here to be consumed with our own selfishness; our own desires to be fit, to be thinner, to finally feel confident in those leggings. We are here to bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ. We are here to surrender ourselves to Him through everything that we do.
