A 2015 Reader Survey Results Snapshot

Written by

This survey was anonymous, but I wish it weren’t.

Why? Because so many of you used it as an opportunity to encourage, affirm and pour into me, and I don’t know who to thank!

So, first of all, you know who you are. Thank you!

It meant more than I can say to read some very encouraging and kind responses.

I thought you might be interested in the findings as well. I know I always am. So, here are the results to two different questions that particularly stood out to me.

On the survey I asked,

1. “Which topics do you get most excited about on Embracing a Simpler Life?”

I listed multiple choice options. Here’s what you said:

The top 3 categories chosen were Minimal living, Homemaking and How to grow spiritually. You will continue to see posts in all of the areas listed no doubt, but I will be more mindful of your favorites!

I also asked,

2. “What’s the biggest challenge you are facing in your life right now related to Christ-centered, simple living?”

I spent time reading and considering each response, but as an overview, I generated this word cloud to show which words came up most often in your responses. (The more times a word was used, the larger it is).

I thought this was pretty striking.

Anything stand out?

Finding and organizing time in order to do daily devotions, run a home, be with family, etc came up over and over again.

That is a topic I will be addressing on the blog in the coming weeks and months as I consider what it means to free up our time and make the most of the time we have.

If you submitted a post suggestion, you just might see it come to fruition in the coming weeks and months, as God leads.

It’s not too late! You can still help me out by taking my 2015 Reader Survey here.

If you’d like to be sure you never miss a post, please subscribe to my posts by email.

I typically post twice a week (or occasionally 3x), so you won’t be overrun by email. This is the only way I can reliably contact you. Social media is pretty spotty in terms of communication.

Thanks for sharing the results! I guess we are mighty similar in our needs and desires. It’s nice to know we aren’t alone out there sometimes!
