I am excited to introduce a new series to the blog for the month of April:

Establishing a Strong, Simple & Settled Home

Exploring the Deeper Aspects of Homemaking

Homemaking is one of my passions. It is truly a much deeper issue than merely cleaning, cooking or decorating. It’s about creating an environment in which a family can thrive.

I believe putting our focus back on the home is one of the best ways to find a life that is both simpler and fuller.

in this 10 part series, based on the book The Gentle Ways of the Beautiful Woman by Anne Ortlund, we will include a look at what it means to:

1. Slow down
2. Be present
3. Rediscover discipline
4. Slash tech-time
5. Recoup male and female
6. Teach Respect
7. Teach Values
8. Believe God
9. Learn to “Cocoon”

I’ll be posting 2-3 times per week in the month of April on these topics.

I hope you’ll be refreshed, blessed, challenged, inspired and renewed by the life-giving possibilities of “home” and it’s biblical role in your family.

So I hope you’ll dive in and join me on my journey of exploring these deeper aspects of homemaking.

I’ll also be doing some fun homemaking-related giveaways on the blog this month!

I can’t find your 10th post. Did you ever post one? I admin a group and we’ve enjoyed each post.

    • That is so fun to hear April! I think I flaked out and never got the last one written. 🙁 I’ve been thinking about revising and republishing this series because I think it’s worthwhile!
